Afternoon all! I've got a 2014 C7 with nav and am looking into upgrading the HMI (or adding anything additional) to enable Carplay/Android Auto. I know there are a few solutions out there, and I've come across one that doesn't seem to have a lot of info here in the forums: https://naviks.com/i-24077418-2014-2...ired-only.html
It looks like this company supports quite a few different cars. Does anyone have any experience with this naviks solution? It's $500+ cheaper than the full replacement HMI solution.
I went with MVI. Turn key HMI and radio module swap. Not too hard to do. Both modules came pre-programmed for my VIN . $1200
Yours would be cheaper I think since you already have Nav. I didn't.
Thanks! I do have factory navigation, and therefore MVI charges an extra $300 -- So it'd be $1200. I might move forward with that.. still would like to know if anyone has used Naviks yet!

I installed a similar module in my Volvo. Besides the RCA wires it looks the same. It's a Chinese made unit that overrides the factory screen to display CarPlay/AndroidAuto.
The MVI unit is completely OEM and won't have to go through AUX-IN.
Also, my module wasn't $750. It's not worth $750 to be honest.
Just go on Aliexpress to see these units offered for various cars, they range anywhere from $250-400.
My unit for the Volvo works great, but you have to hold the EXIT menu button to go back to the factory screen menu. It however doesn't interfere with any safety systems, like backup camera, radar cruise, parking etc.

Thanks a ton for the feedback! I'll avoid this and go with MVI!
