Default Shifting problem

Bought a 2019 LT2 Friday, the dealer was 50 miles away, the car had 5600 mikes and looked brand new. Before I got home when being in automatic mode started having a problem with the car shifting into 6th gear. If I went to manual mode it appeared to be shifting ok. Drone it on Saturday and it appeared to be shifting normal. Drove it on Monday and it started having trouble shifting in all gears whether it was in auto or manual. The whole car would shake when it was time to change gears. It just felt like the car could not figure out what gear it wanted to be in. If I gave it a little goose when it started shaking it would go up to the next gear and would be fine until the next time to shift. There is another Chevy dealer within walking distance so I will be headed that way in the morning. It has 6 months left on the factory warranty so hopefully they can take care of it. Sorry to say I do not have much faith in their work..I shy away from GM products except for Corvettes, I can just see a waste in a heck of a lot of money. Any ideas or hear of anyone else having this problem.

Sounds like it was in V4 mode instead of V8. If it shifts correctly in manual mode you need a Range Device. It will block V4 mode all the time.

Sorry to hear of your shifting problems.... my '19 had 14,95x trouble-free miles when I sold it... transmission was perfect....
FWIW: when I "left" Corvettes after 31 years and 979,000+ miles I had essentially trouble free cars...
Don't go sour on the car.... I suspect a dealer will sort it quickly....

If it was manufactured before Feb 2019 it may not have the latest transmission fluid. That may be all you need to fix it. Check that first and then go to the Range Extender to stop the V4 nonsense.

You can go online to the Chevy Owner's center and request the build date. They may also email the build sheet if you ask them nicely!

Went to Auto Nation Chevrolet and after explaining the problem to the service writer he said he knew what was causing the problem. He said the car needed the triple flush of the transmission. Called me after about 4 hours to come pick up the car and it has not missed a beat after the did what ever ut was that they did. Hopefully that is the last I see of the shifting problem.
