I believe I know the answer to this but wanted to verify before purchasing aftermarket rims. I have a 2017 Stingray Vert with the 18 front, 19 rear rims/tires. I am looking to replace those with the 19 front and 20 rears that are stock in the later C7 models. I assume the larger rims and tires will fit the 2017 without any issues? (I believe the bodies are the same, just wanted to verify). Also, the overall dimensions of the tires are the same, correct? (I just lose an inch of tire and and an inch of rim?) Just wanted to make sure I won't run into having to calibrate the speedo to account for different size tires. Thanks in advance!
Correct - I did the opposite and went from heavy 19/20s down to lighter 18/19s on my Z51. Just need the correct width and offset. The sidewall ratio determines the overall diameter so the computer (ABS, traction control, etc) and speed-o will never see any difference.
Make sure the wheels you purchase are "Forged" not the cheap GM GS or Z06 pieces of crap. You can look up all of the posts for cracked or bent GM rims. I currently have three of them!
Bob from House of Wheels has been great to deal with!!
Thanks everyone for the replies. Can I assume that if I am purchasing wheels for Corvettes from one of the wheel suppliers on here that I just need to give them the year of the car or do I need to supply the offset when purchasing? Sorry.....probably a stupid question lol. All of the purchases I have made in the past for aftermarket wheels was simply just telling the vendor what car I had....never had to deal with wheel offsets at all. I will look for Forged and will check out House of Wheels. Any others that I should be considering? I used to buy everything from TireRack but their Corvette selection seems to be extremely limited.

FYI
Don't even think about the GM GS or ZO6 Wheels, not only due to the POOR QUALITY,
THE WIDE BODY WHEELS WON'T WORK OR FIT ON THE STINGRAY OR Z51'S!!!
With a later St'ray having the larger diameter wheels, I'd stick with the smaller if I had them... unless I always drove on table-top smooth surfaces. Were I replacing my 19/20s, I'd opt for your sizes.

Is the ride affected that much? I had 19's on my Audi S3 and it was pretty rough but there was very little tire between the rim and road.....I was hoping the Vette had a little more to work with. I really like the appearance of the larger rims but I am not sure I want to sacrifice ride quality if it is that much of a difference.....I have went back and forth a million times already lol.
