Default Driver Power Mirror ISSUE

So I recently had the vehicle at the body shop for them to do a little work to the driver fender. Then since I received the vehicle back the driver mirror motor is just sticking and adjusting all the way up when I unlock the car and then when I start the car it will auto adjust all the way down and even when it is maxed out you can still hear the motor continuing to turn. The only fix I have found is that now every time I get into the car I have to make sure the first thing I do is adjust the driver mirror. Then when I get out of the car and shut the vehicle off I have to make sure that I hit the adjuster button otherwise you can just hear the motor continuing to run attempting to adjust the mirror even though it is at max position. I only have 1 key and I have tried to set both seat functions to the exact same setting and no matter what I do it keeps going crazy. Is it possible when they removed the driver fender that they jarred some kind of wires or plug behind there that could be causing this? Please if anyone has experienced anything like this and found a fix. Please let me know. This is super annoying and the first issue I have had with the car since I purchased about 6 months ago now.

The shop tech probably adjusted the mirror to the extreme position and then unknowingly stored it to the memory 1 or 2 or both. Refer to your printed or Chevrolet's online owners manual for setting seat and mirror positions in the stored memory.

I have some history of this same issue I can share. Never came up with a real fix; just a work-around. It IS interesting that mine too started after my body shop worked on mine. I noticed they ran some scan tool diagnostic after it was assembled. Perhaps that stepped on the memory seat module firmware? I’ll probably never know.

Here’s a related thread I posted…
