Try using the volume **** when the phone is ringing. That works for the volume of voice prompts but I don't know if it works for the ring tone.

I find the ringer to be too obtrusive. I catch the change in the view of my screen in my peripheral vision, i see it on my HUD and in dash. Being fixated on just the road ahead is not good driving practice. Being aware of surroundings, cars around you, behind etc is all part of early driver training.
If you are still insistent, the phone call also interrupts music being played too, so not sure how you miss that.

The ringer is obvious to me and actually quite disruptive.
As it always takes me a few seconds to figure out what it is, I would like to be able to make the car's ringer to sound like my phone ring tone. I would then instantly know it is my phone.
