Like you, I have a 2015. Mine came with all the options since it's a 3LT trim...navigation, PDR, HUD...etc. What it did NOT have was Apple CarPlay. That came along beginning in 2016. You CAN upgrade your car. I upgraded mine to have CarPlay. With this upgrade, it also came with GPS. Since my car already had that pre-installed, I didn't have to run the GPS antenna included with the upgrade equipment.
The upgrade included 3 modules. Two on the passenger side behind the footwell and one up under the driver's side dash. Plug n play. I did it in a day...with a LOT of aggressive foul language barked out at no-one in particular. LOL. Ugh. For your car, the GPS antenna would run from that driver's side box up to around the front left speaker. That probably would have been the easiest task but I didn't have to that part.
The YouTube videos made it look easy. Eh, yes and no. It was just a royal pain in the *** to get to the modules to replace.

Probably your best bet is to use your cell phone or get something like a Garmin Nuvi - heck of a lot cheaper and works better than the factory GPS IMO.
By the way, if you go out West, there are large areas without cell phone coverage. Your phone may not store enough map sections to have roads show up on the screen (like in the CO mountains).
You can easily pre-load the needed maps on your cell phone. There are few roads so the maps are small so you can cover a lot of ground with very little phone memory.
When I travel, I use a Garmin Nuvi 55. It works everywhere except in downtown in a canyon of buildings. It cost about $100 and updates are free.
No, it 's not built in.
I use a suction cup on the window or a beanbag mount on the dash. I am not worried if someone is offended by the looks.
I have used it in tandem with the built in GPS in the wife's Cadillac XT5.
The Garmin is much more accurate. Foresquare has many more restaurants, gas stations and hotels than the built in GPS.
The C7 Nav system is far from perfect.
We have two Garmins, two cellphones with apple maps and Google maps and Waze.
But we still use the C7 factory Nav most of the time. The HUD directions are very nice.
