Has anyone experienced a hesitation when the car is in park at idle and you crack the throttle quickly and it sounds like it's sucking air? When I crack the throttle it's not a quick crisp throttle, there is a gasp of air before it revs up. Any particular reason why?
Drive by wire is not like the old days where you had a mechanical one to one connection between the gas pedal and the throttle blades of the carburetor. When u snapped the pedal the carb instantly opened and to cover that big gulp of air the accelerator pump had to squirt a big shot of gas
The abridged and simple explanation is Drive by Wire on a C6 and a C7 has a slow throttle body opening ramp and then a much quicker rampup the farther the pedal is pushed . GM also caps the max RPM you can attain when in neutral or park
PM me if you would like a detailed explanation
