Has anyone found a way to get waze to recognize voice commands like google maps does? Its annoying to pull the parking brake and type places to navigate to. Maybe I'm missing a setting or something
Probably a permissions issue. Waze needs access to your microphone. By default, its not enabled. You should be able to say "OK WAZE" and add a command like "take me home."

I have it set for mic and location. Still cant get it to work, the voice commands come up and it works for google maps only. I'm trying with the car mic button. I will try ok waze
I never could get waze to work with voice. Have tried over and over again. Gave it full permissions in my phone settings too. I have googled this issue and see a lot of angst over trying to solve it.
Mine automatically hands off to Waze when I say ok Goggle, find xxx.
Also, there is a little microphone icon on the bottom right screen when waze is running under AA. If you press that, then speak just the address, POI whatever, it will show you the results or auto start navigation to a unique location. Easy Peazy.

I'm trying to get it to work with the steering mic button like google maps does so I dont have to reach over when driving. But if that's the only way to get it to work
Yeah ok google or find this doesnt work. I mean it works but nothing comes up if waze is up. Only if google maps is up. Using the android auto button also doesn't work. Have to park and use the electronic brake I guess every time.
