Is the black hood graphics on my 2015 a factory option or aftermarket. It appears to be carbon fiber.
I have seen very few with this option.

Especially such with Silver as it really provides a nice contrast.

It's called a stinger stripe. Corvettes have been using versions of this stripe on past generations for years. it's popularity on Blade Silver speaks for itself in this thread since all posts so far have Blade Silver C7s with carbon-flash stinger stripes in poster's avatars. .

Without knowing if it came on the car from the factory, it could be OEM or aftermarket. In either case, it really looks good on the car.

If it's carbon fiber, then it's part of the hood and it was a very expensive option. If it's just shiny black, then it's a decal. Those were available from the factory or the aftermarket.

Based on the ordering guides I have, the exposed carbon option wasn't introduced until 2016. So it's possible someone added it to your car.

Starting in 2016, RPO B92, Hood Insert, Exposed Carbon Fiber Weave became available. If you really have exposed Carbon Fiber, it's possible a previous owner installed a newer hood with this option.

Correct above, a 2015 would not have a OEM carbon fiber hood insert ($1995 option not available until 2016), and doubtful one would have been added after the fact considering the high cost. Of course C7 hoods are constructed of painted carbon fiber.
If you post a good close up photo we can tell you for sure whether it's a vinyl stinger or a CF inlay.

if it is the CF insert like others have said it was a pretty pricey option at the time. Silver is the only color beside the dark colours that looked good with the CF package IMO

I also have the "stinger stripe" on my Torch Red an love how it breaks up the redness. It is a decal, but is Carbon Flash as the complete Flash package was ordered.
