i recently bought a used C7 ( 2014) . so far all is going well. But on the highway at say 65 or 70 MPH I notice a very consistent , almost at one second intervals, what might be tire vibration. the tires are not brand new, and the car sat for months before i purchased it. simply a flat spot ? It's a 7 speed manual transmission.it's noticeable and very consistent. could it be something other than tires? . it happens in the typical highway gears of 5th, 6th, or 7th. Very hard to detect otherwise, one wouldn't pick up this 'vibration' unless on the highway.
My 2015 did same thing , rhythmic vibration at 60 to 70 MPH . Road Force balance showed rt rear balance was way out of spec on the high side and other three were in spec on the low side
Had all 4 road forced balanced at Discount , ask for the bullseye balance , no more vibration . Also need to make sure you don't have a bent rim
I owned an auto repair business and now retired. Best way to Identify what's up is to take the car to a shop that has a computer balancer. They can test the wheels one at a time, spin first to see if the rim is straight, check the tire for out of roundness and out of balance. Normally when this vibration thing happens your going to have one that has some sort of condition that was causing the vibration. While its up its worth checking al 4 . If they all check out good then you need to start thinking about an axel problem (not a popular problem unless you have a lot of miles). Good luck, hopefully its simple.
Bent rim(s).
Out of balance.
Bad tire(s). Check the date code on the tires, they may be the originals that the car came with from the factory. If so, then i would replace them, and verify rims are not bent.
With all the above mentioned.Check them all.If you missed one,it could be that one.I would start at the wheel and tire runout while they are being road force balanced.
Most rim issue's.LOVE that GM Wide Body wheel issue.Where not on the stingray's.
Happy Travels when they are tuned in
