The optimal outcome is to panel paint the new bumper cover and NOT blend into the hood or fenders. (assuming you car has never had any paintwork)
Not all colors require the same skill level to nail the color correctly. Depending on the color, metal flake, or tint coat difficulty to match can vary greatly.
How capable are you of doing your own work? Are you capable of removing the OEM bumper cover and taking it to the painter so he can spray some test panels and compare them to your existing bumper? You can wrap it in a moving blanket and transport it in the back of a SUV or pickup pretty safely.
Once the painter knows he has the match perfect, he can then paint the new cover.
Some painters will ask for the fuel door as a color reference too. That seems like it may be to small to really see the match.
