Hello all. I am currently looking at a 2016 Z06 C7.R edition for sale nearby. The color seems to be more of a matte color and not a glossy paint like I see on the Shark Grey. Can anyone confirm if this is the factory paint? Title looks clear. Not sure if repaint or wrap or proper color. Thanks in advance.
That appears to be a Satin Wrap. Why don't you contact the seller and ask?
That's just it. I've already been down there to see it in person. While I'll say it does look very good imo and well done, there was no mention of a wrap or anything and they are advertising it as Shark Grey (which may be the factory color underneath.) They are a larger dealer but not a Chevy, and selling it as is. While the car seems to be in pristine condition I still question things and the price is above average market. This is also one of the 150 C7.R Editions that were sent outside of the U.S. and this one has been properly registered into the U.S. from B.C.

It does look like a wrap as the factory paint has more shine to it. Looks great, but I too would wonder if it was done to cover up something or was just a look the owner wanted on the car.
the dealer might not know theres a wrap on it. That might be why no mention. They bought it as either a trade in or auction and prob just assumed the color was what they were told. You were there in person. I would have taken a pic of the sticker inside the drivers door and found the color code from factory. If you're close, I'd suggest that. I looked at the many pictures they posted on the sale page, but none were of the door sticker (many dealers include a pic of that when selling used). Overall, the car looks awesome with the matte look. If the carafax comes clean, I wouldn't worry if it's a wrap. Worse case scenario is the paint isn't perfect, but could prob be detailed, or just wrap again in the future. Good luck.
PS. looks like the car has been avail for at least a few months. It's getting colder now and most likely won't sell for them over winter. Might be an opportunity to chew them down some
So the dealer confirmed it was a repaint, not a wrap. This is number 628 of 650 based off the VIN.
The repaint kind of makes me question it but is indeed a C7.R Edition. It has all the carbon fiber, suede, decals, etc.
I really do like the color. would be unique in its own way being a non black/yellow C7.R trim..
I would suggest having a qualified Chevrolet dealer do a pre-sale inspection to verify everything you have been told. IF it checks out and IF you like it, then start the negotiation.
Here is my 2016 which is Shark Gray. Unfortunately she is in the body shop because of the crap job Chevy did with the clear coat. Have clear coat fracturing happening on allot of the top surfaces.... About 2/3 of the car needs to have the clear coat re-done.
