I know is item has been talk about here, but just wanted to forward about a sale they are having that I received in a email. I have been using this device for a few months and really work great. I have it plugged in in storage area behind screen. So just giving a heads up about sale if anyone was thinking of getting Cplay2air.
Wow, nice price. I got the $99 sale price a few weeks ago. I have to admit I REALLY like this addition for my 2019 Vette. I don't use CarPlay all the time, so I was not plugging my phone in when getting into the car. If I was driving and wanted Waze I had to try to plug it in on the road--not the easiest thing to do. Now CarPlay is always ready. I am surprised how little iPhone battery gets used when the screen is off.
That's a good deal... I have one behind the screen and it works great! I have the Scoche magnetic mount for my phone and bought a dual USB/USB C charger for my cigarette lighter and a 6" USB C to Lightning cord to use when I run the Waze app to keep the phone charged. Nice and clean setup for the C7.
I got one for my 19 Silverado 1500. It seems to interfere with the key fob. When I leave it plugged in all the time and get in the truck with the fob in my pocket I can't start the truck, message says no fob. It's happened 1/2 dozen times. Since I have left it unplugged unless I am using CarPlay no issue with the fob.

Electronics are wonky sometimes.
Now my 17 GS is in storage I use Cplay2air in my 18 GMC Sierra 1500 also works great but my Sierra doesn’t have fob with push button start like your 19 Sierra. It might be worth trying to email Cplay2air.com and see if there customer service has any solutions to your problem with recognizing fob.

Just a heads up folks... I figured I'd give one of these a try and it is a good deal so I ordered one last week. I just checked the shipping tracking and it just left the shipper in... wait for it... Shenzen. So don't expect rapid order fulfillment.
Mine finally came in from Shenzen yesterday... took ~ 2 weeks, not too bad these days... and it took only a minute or so to plug it in and pair the bluetooth. Works like a champ. On my 2016 it does not work with the USB plug in the cubby (IIRC wired CarPlay doesn't work there either) but does in the front one in the center console which is where I usually had it plugged in for wired CarPlay. Is this a game changer? Not really since for longer trips you need to plug in anyway, but most of my C7 drives are local fun runs and it will be perfect for that... and easy enough to plug in when I need to. Not sure if it is still $89 but that was a decent price IMO. I will also be trying it in my Tacoma where I have a Pioneer NEX GPS head unit that has CarPlay.
The other thing for us ProClip users is they make qi wireless charging mounts that fit the Proclip C7 mount base that snaps onto the grab handle. With that and a CarPlay 2 air you'd be fully wireless. Proclip says that the first 2 holders are compatible with our mounts. Not sure about the plusses and minuses of either of them. Anyone here have one of these and care to share?
Just a FYI. I was surprised with the difference in battery usage between using Waze with the iPhone screen on vs using the CarPlay2 air. I guess I knew the screen was the big draw, but I can drive around for a long time hooked up with CarPlay2air hooked up with minimal drain.
I like waze but it is a bit of a PITA. Even when not in use Waze will drain your battery a good bit faster. I always make a point to force close the app when I stop but that is a PITA. When I forget and find my battery low later I can look at the iPhone battery usage report and find that a high % was waze... which was wasted with the phone off and in my pocket or on the nightstand. I wish it wasn't so intrusive that way.

I have the Proclip C7 and the Magic mount https://www.proclipusa.com/product/m...reless-charger and I'm pretty pleased with the arrangement. However, I have to start the car before it will grab the phone. And it pretty much blocks the front cupholder. I was planning to try the CarlinKit adapter, but wanted to see what happened with the Carplay. Hoping the CarlinKit works in the cubby.
In my case I don't believe that the adapter is at fault for wireless CarPlay not working in the cubby. I don't believe CarPlay works in the cubby USB in my 2016 even wired which would explain why the wireless adapter fails there. I'll test all this again at some point. Thanks for the feedback on the magic mount.

raylo, glad you like your Carplay2air . Just for reference my device works in cubby on my 17 GS. I have it in there with device plugged in to usb and device Velcroed to metal shelf to keep it in place and not moving around in compartment. I found that my Waze seems to work better using Bluetooth than wired when wired it was cutting out now and then . Now with Bluetooth no cutting out ! You might try deleteing CarPlay 2air device and try re - syncing device with screen down til light on device and phone shows resynced. That’s how I originally synced my 17GS. In my 18 Sierra I use usb in console but I had to do it with storage compartment open the light on device and phone wouldn’t show sync with compartment closed. After both were synced with compartments open works great if compartment is closed . I’m just mentioning this as maybe this might help if you want to use chubby behind screen.
