On the way to get fuel, the check engine light comes on...2016 Z06. I don't find anything wrong. Any ideas? I guess buy a scanner and see what code it has. 15 miles to nearest Auto Zone and don't want to chance messing anything up. Thanks in advance.

I agree - get it scanned at your local auto parts store and see what code has been stored. Then post that info up and someone should be able to give you some advice.

If the CEL comes on, there is an issue. Not sure how you didn't find anything wrong. Still, if you don't want to chance it, go to Autozone and rent their scanner, not code reader, scanner. You get your money back. IIRC, it is about $200.
That code could be for dozens of possible issues, buy a cheap scan tool on Amazon & then you'll have one
My 2016 Z51 would show engine light every once and a while. It went out after a few miles. Never found a code, but if it stasys on you do need to get it checked. Lots of code readers available and probably a good investment for a Corvette owner.

When it goes off, isn't that a "soft code" where it is in the ECM until it has not detected the issue for a certain amount of drive cycles. I'd definitely like to know what the intermittent code is and not see if it stays.

Happened to me yesterday as well, first time since owning the car for ~1500mi. I'm thinking it could be a voltage issue with the OEM battery ... the car is a '14 Z51 and the original AC Delco is still in there.
Only other thing that changed was adding Techron and filling up the tank for Winter storage, but that was about a month ago and I've been able to get out a couple times prior to yesterday with no issues.
At any rate, I can easily roll a few miles into town and have one of the places scan the code.

They might try to get you to subscribe, but you are connected to limited services even when not subscribed. I believe that includes diagnostics if you have a problem. It’s worth a try if you have a CEL and don’t want to move the car.

Again, I’m not 100% certain of this, but I think on demand diagnostics is available even if you are not subscribed. Again, worth finding out if this is the case of the OP is concerned about moving his car.
The CEL illuminated on our 2017 Z51 A8 while on a road trip, steady 45 mph on a country road.
Came on for about 5 sec, then flashed for about 5 sec, then went out. Engine ran fine and no other problems.
Since everything seemed ok, I just kept driving. Light never came on again and dealer detected a misfire code when we got home but no details.
We've driven about 2k miles and a couple of autocross weekends since then, no light and no problems.
ok...update on check engine light....could not find anything wrong anywhere. Drove it 3 miles back to the house, disconnected battery for 10 minutes, reconnected battery, drove car for 15 minutes, no check engine light. Only thing I can think of is I drove the car a couple of days earlier, got caught in the rain, and something got wet. Other than that, I dont have a clue, sorry. Hope it doesn't come back. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.

The CEL mentioned in post #22 came on (and went out) about an hour after driving through the heaviest rain I've ever experienced in my life.
We had also bought gas about 30 minutes before, so water someplace might have been the cause.
