Our C3 sold yesterday, so we're that much closer to buying our C7. I see some models say heated seats; others say AC seats. Is it just one or the other, or is it both together?
I personally do not use heated or cooled seats in any of my vehicles very often, would not be a deal breaker for me if I went for a 1LZ package that didin't have them. Heated and cooled seats are not important to me as long as I have a good dependable car that is in good condition. Although I have never used mine, from what I hear on the Forum, the heated and cooled factor does not work very well anyway, I just like the horsepower and condition and driveability of the car.

My Z06 has both heated and cooled seats and I have never turned them on, guess I should just to see if they work and find out if they are any good or not. But it is the same way on my primary vehicle, it has heated and cooled seats and I very seldom ever use them, to be honest with you, I never even think about it unless my wife is in the car and turns her side on, then I may do the same.
I have a truck with heated/cooled seats, and I use them all the time. My C6 has Heated only, and I use that as well. My C7 will have them, once I find it. Also I don't think 1LT has either memory seats or HUD, both of which I want.

I have heated seats in my DD (no vented seats) and use them quite often when the weather gets cool/cold.
My 2014 has the 2LT package which comes with the heated/ventilated seats. I like both features as the ventilated seats feel good on those hot summer days and just like my DD, the heated seats take the chill off in the winter.
I like heated and cooled seats but I’ve got to say that the seat heaters on my C7 GS do not get very hot. On high they are barely as warm as the heaters in my wife’s Volt or my Model S set on low and they are nowhere near as good as the heaters on my old C6 GS. As to the ventilation feature, well it is not much to get excited about either, I can hardly tell when it’s on so I rarely bother with it. I do have the faux suede option for the seats, steering wheel and shifter and I’m very happy with that choice for hot or cold weather. The HVAC system is excellent and easily keeps you as hot or as cold as you desire. I just wouldn’t let the seat heaters/ventilator issue be the deciding factor in buying a particular Corvette.
Heated and Ventilated seats are now my must have option in every car purchase moving forward. I have them in my daily, along with a heated steering wheel, and they drastically improve comfort year round. My wife only has heated seats in her daily and during the summer months we both complain about the lack of ventilated seats. I really appreciate that GM has heated/ventilated standard on the C7 2LT/3LT trim levels. Most cars only provide ventilated seats on the highest trim level or a separate costly option.
I just bought a 2016 C7 with both heated and ventilated seats, however, while shopping I almost bought a 1LT with neither and for $675 the dealer said he would add the heat option because it was just a matter of installing the switch and connecting it to the already existing harness. My research of the seat construction implied the EVERY seat had the fan and heater in it from the factory so I would think it would be a very easy chore to add both options. Ventilated seats are NOT air-conditioned but do cool the warm leather. The heaters are not as effective as my 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 but still are worth it in colder climates.
Heated and ventilated seats are the worst performing feature in the entire car. Takes awhile for the seats to get only moderately warm and the ventilated seats (must turn ac on and directed at the floor to work) are poor at best.
GM did mostly everything right about the C7 but dropped the ball in the seat heating/cooling area.
The folks who have no complaints, and there are some, are IMHO exceptions.
Mine has the heated/ventilated seats. The heat is SLOW to work but the ventilation seems to work pretty quickly.
Once they're warm, they're nice.
26 degrees outside with a "feels like" of 12.... Heated seats are fantastic!
The C7 heated and cooled seats work but some people are disappointed. The heaters in my seats will warm the butt and back but won't cook it. The heaters in my 2003 Tahoe get hot and after a while start to burn the skin. The ventilated seat works fine especially if you are sweaty. Air is pumped from the footwell area and blows out of perforations in the leather. You don't feel a sudden cool down it is a gradual cool feeling that spreads across your butt and back. If you are sweating a little you will have a more enhanced feel since the ventilation speeds evaporation which means you get cooler.
I use the ventilated seats almost always in the summer. I do like the AC seats in my F150 better. It seems like all car manufacturers dropped the AC seats for ventilated seats. I believe the little electronic chip-type cooler/heater became an expensive warranty item.
