Are these extractors (or actually, I suppose they're intake vents) easily removable? There's a bit of dirt inside of each one, left and right, that I'd like to wipe out.
Depending on which model C7 you have, they can be intakes for coolers on Transmission/Diff.
I don't know about removing them, but I've had leaves disappear down into there and wonder if there is a place for the leaves to easily exit the bottom, or if the leaves will block the airflow?

This is what it looks like behind the quarter panel:
This picture shows the passenger side duct that attaches to the grille. This duct directs cooling air into the diff cooler. The driver's side is similar but that duct ends up forcing air through the transmission cooler as shown in the following picture:
This diagram shows how the driver's side duct (Item 2) fits under the quarter panel and feeds air to the transmission cooler on both manual and automatic transmission cars.

Thanks for the info & pics.
To me, the ducts look like they direct air to the coolers but there is enough room around the coolers for leaves etc to find another path, they might jam up against the cooler but not guaranteed.
If there was a real pile of leaves at the bottom of the area, it might stack up enough to block the flow somewhat. Maybe.

There is a good video on YouTube that shows how to do the removal. Basically you need to take some screws out on the rear quarter panel then you can press down on the panel to get it from out under the small side rear window. It is tight, but you can then reach under the quarter panel and there are three nuts that hold the vents in place. Once you have those nuts loose, the vent comes out. Just be careful you do not drop one of the nuts down inside the quarter panel - it could be a PITA to get out. Plus, when I did mine I used some painters tape and outlined the vent to prevent scratching when I used a plastic trim tool to pop the vent out.
As I said, check out the YouTube videos and they will be a huge help.
After seeing what's involved, I've lost my enthusiasm for removing the intakes just to clean the ducts below them. I'm distinctly non-eager to start removing body panels. I'll be satisfied with whatever clean-up I can accomplish by working through the intake grates.

Since we're not trying to make it bright and shiny down in the duct/cooler, just get any junk out of the way that would impede airflow-
Why not just blast it from the top with the high pressure wand at the self-service car wash? Wouldn't even need to use soap, just high pressure rinse?
It took me about 20 mins to remove each side ('15 Z51 A8) and replace with Z06 scoops. Unless you are OK with working in tight places and bending quarter panels, I'd stick with the pressure washing and a brush.

I've often wondered the same thing... my C7 sits outside 24/7/365 and I know for sure many leaves had disappeared into those vents. Hard to tell from the pictures but it does seem like there is a place for them to fall to the bottom. Maybe pulling back the wheel liner could allow enough access to clean them out with a shop vac.
