The SPID label on our just-acquired 2015 includes RPO CC3, transparent removable roof panel. I need to make an appointment with my optometrist; I'm having a very difficult time seeing through the roof.

Maybe you have both did you look in the hatch and see if the transparent one is there. Or maybe the original owner traded the roof for the chrome Z06 Wheels?

The car doesn't have the RPO codes for the dual top option so the PO must have traded tops. A large number of people couldn't stand the sun coming in through the roof so traded the clear tops for a solid top.

You're better off with the solid color top. I have the "clear" top and am looking at either wrapping it or having it painted its very hot in the summer with the sun shining through it. Mine is not holding up well lots of crazing and the drivers side started peeling the clear coat

It's rare but not unheard of that people have the polycarbonate roof painted body color. It's cheaper than buying a new roof.

Can you look behind the head liner and see what the inside surface looks like?

I purchased a 2016 Z51 back in 2017 with 640 miles on it. It came with transparent top, but living in south with lots of sun it was really hot. plus it provided little resistance to noise. so I traded for a exposed carbon fiber top. looked great plus insulated and reduced noise.
I'm the odd guy - I don't like converitables, and would just as soon have a permanent top on my vette.
my guess is car came with see through top which got traded

I use a targa shade on the inside on the hottest hot days with mine. I found the biggest help with heat was actually removing the secondary cats via an x pipe. The sun through the roof actually didn't bother me much once my legs weren't cooking.

I'll see if I can get a peek at it. I'm guessing that if it was originally transparent, I'll see the color of whatever primer was used.

^ I have a gut feeling your top is a painted original Torch Red solid color top.

...the paint match to the rest of the car in both color and quality is exact (at least as exact as my eyes can tell), so my gut is on the same wavelength as yours.

Watch the "Parts for sale/Wanted" section here for a short while and you'll soon "see" why you cannot see out of your roof.

Sure looks that way to me. For whatever reason, I would bet the prior owner sold or traded the transparent top and got the solid top.

Same here. The crazing is pretty disappointing... I'll get it wrapped one of these days.

I had a transparent top on my C6. It was ok, but I much prefer the solid color roof on my C7

The previous owner swapped it or sold it.
