Yeah, the plate holder mounts to the grille. If the Z06 can use the aero plate holder, it looks much better than the standard holder.

When I purchased my C7 I told the dealer that if the holder was screwed into the front facia of the car, I wouldn't take the car. Purchased a sto-n-show plate holder.
