How do I remove...
...the black thing (technical term, I know) from the black plastic plenum, or whatever, that it's plugged in to? It looks like the white piece (circled) is some sort of clip that holds it in, but if so, I can't figure out how to remove it from the black thing. Any help?

Squeeze the white thing and lift it off the mount.

Maybe it's a push button release.

And if you're mentally ill like I am, you'll paint all those grey push clips satin black so they don't stick out like a sore thumb

This is a nice change GM made to the old screw or pinch type clamps used to keep hoses in place. Quick, simple, and the push connector works.

Squeeze white "button" and pull. Takes a little bit of effort and wiggling.

Anyone know the proper name for these fittings? I have a damaged one that connects to the air intake. I can find similar but not quite right.

"...so they don't stick out like a sore thumb" And, so that next time you'll be sure NOT to recall how to remove them, for sure.
