Default Sto N Sho Mounting Problem

Greetings All,

I recently ordered a Sto N Sho front plate mount for my 2017 GS.
While changing the oil, I decided to install. Much to my chagrin, instead of the two symmetrical screws I expected to see under the stage 1 spoiler for mounting, there is one screw on drivers side and what appears to be a drain on passenger side.
I am unable to install this product securely. I spoke to Mike at Sto N Sho who stated he never encountered this issue.
Anyone else run into this, or have the same spoiler configuration?

Thanks

FWIW, installed on both a '17 and '19 and both had the designated screw attachments...

I think you are just missing a screw. Never seen any type of drain on the front of the bumper lol.

No, the screw is not missing. The blank hole is clearly larger than the screw hole.

Is there any thread on the actual bumper to screw the screw into?

My 19 GS has the same configuration as yours Airlifter. I have the stage 1 aero and the only way I could see to mount the holder would be to get a nut and washer above the big hole.

MrHix

PS, J-model, must be nice . . . . .

Frid- No threads detected upon inserting the screw. The hole in the spoiler matches the hole in bumper, I can see body color beyond the spoiler.

MrHix- Good to know I’m not the only one out there. I’ve seen a mount that clips to the grill, I’ll go that route if I find it.

PS, flew the J for 5 yrs, then BRAC gave our unit the C27J. Best years of my career!
