Default Spark plug and plug wires

I've got 60,000 miles on my 2016 c7 stingray. I'm Fixing to put new plugs and plug wires in. Should I go back with the factory plugs and wires or are there better ones out there i should try?

Factory is the best choice.

Original plugs and wires lasted 60k for you, so get another set of OEM wires and plugs. I see no reason for aftermarket in this case.

I thought the plugs on a Stingray were good for 100K?

Unless you spend a lot of time in the high rev ranges, the stock plugs and wires will be just fine IMO
I replaced mine at 60k just because i track it once or twice a year. (2016 Z51, M7)

Nothing wrong with the OEM plugs and wires. Curious why you are changing at 60K miles - having performance issues?

One data point:
On the C6, a local dealer tech said that the plugs don't need replacement at 50k miles, but at 100k miles they definitely do need replacement.

Cant go wrong with factory, unless you are looking for some color.

NGK plugs with stock wires and coils made over 800whp and got me to 206 in the standing mile. You’ll be wasting money on anything else. Rock Auto is where I got mine.

For a C7, many don't drive it as much so it make be a while before replacement. Problem is the plugs are expensive. On my C4, I loved the cheap copper plugs. Toss every year with the cap and rotor. No issue with it freezing up in the head. My diesel MB had issues with the glow plugs. Annual plug R&R with the bore brushing of the prechamber solved sticking plugs. On another vehicle, I had no issues with the 100K plugs. I did gain some mpg by changing the plugs at 70K although they were "good" to 100K.

Unless there is something wrong or you are doing something exotic, I would agree with you. Same as indexing the plugs. For Rock Auto, I really can't afford them. Sure, they are financially less expensive but the aggravation when dealing with them doesn't make it worth while. As long as the parts are right and don't need warranty, the price can be beat but not easily. At this time, I won't buy anything from them I can't afford to throw away and buy another if there is an issue.

Sorry you're on the outs with Rock Auto. I've been a customer for years and have never had a bad experience.

Default 2016 Z06 and Dealer says plugs fouled

13,000 some odd miles on my 2016 Z06 and it started missing after winding it up a few times, took it to the dealer and he said several cylinders have been missing a lot, said I need new plugs and wires!?! And I hear 50,000 to 90,000 miles on plugs, anyone else having this problem?

I did on mine at 120,000 miles. I originally replaced all at 60,000 miles just a a maintenance item.

That sounds way too soon to need plugs and wires, but the owner manual does specify more frequent replacement for the Z06. Can't remember the numbers.
