Anyone else have this problem, I can't stand it. 2016 Z06, 9000 miles. I have found replacements with the Z06 logo. Will it do the same thing?

The issue comes up regularly.

Yes, it will likely happen again depending on whether you learn to put your elbow somewhere else when you drive.

See, click for more.

I thought 2018 and 2019 had better materials. I don't want to spend 250 bucks for the same problem.

This was a problem with the early C7s. GM did improve the center arm rest to where the indentations did not occur as frequently as earlier year cars. I have a 2014 and what I have done is placed a hand towel (found one that compliments the interior color of the car), folded it up and laid it over the armrest. My console does not have any indentations from my elbow. Just a suggestion, especially if you replace the existing armrest with a new one.

I appreciate your advice but my 2014 Z51 didn't have that problem. Maybe I'm just getting fatter and older an lay on it too much.

I had that issue. On my 2016 Stingray it was fine for three years. Then bang! It was wrinkled just like yours in a few days. Kept getting worse. I found out it was sunscreen I was applying to my arm of all things that I just started to use when I moved down to Arizona. To make make sure my diagnosis was correct, I manually applied sunscreen to a different part of the console and indeed wrinkled. So that is definitely one cause for sure. But if you get a new one there are no issues with the newer replacements, but I sure wouldn't use any sunscreen on the right arm.

I had a 2016 and had the wrinkled armrest replaced under warranty, the new one seemed like better material - my new 2019 seems like even better material.

Never heard of the sun screen issues. The arm rest was like that when I bought it. The more I see it the more I don't like it.

My 2015 did it, bought an embroidered one from the forum.

Halfway tempted to take the original to an upholstery shop to see what they can do to it

No issues so far, but I also adjusted my driving habit and don't put my arm on it. Where it's embroidered is right where my elbow would hit so I would think it would do better over time

Did you guys get the replacement from a dealer or Corvette America or some other place that sells parts for Corvettes. Corvette America's are $300.

I have the Z06 script one on mine Mike. No issues. Sucks you have to spend the money, but it adds to the look of the interior too. One way of looking at it I guess.
