My radio system went completely out. The rearview cam continued to work, but nothing else. I took the car to the dealer and they bypassed the amp and stated that the amp was bad. I replaced the amp and the radio and everything came back on, but now the speakers work from time to time. Sometimes only the front driver speaker will play and then at other times, all four will play. Does anyone know if there is some kind of reset or programming that is needed once you've changed the amp (with the same amp)? Thank you
A new amp needs initial programming by a GM dealer. I assume your dealer did this. Usually, if only one speaker works, the amp was not programmed, but your problem seems more like a loose connection at the amplifier plug.
I purchased the amp online from a GM dealer and installed it myself. Do they automatically come programmed or does it need to be programmed once installed?

Interesting and never knew this. I guess with all the functions the infotainment system performs, some programming would be required to make all the things work together.
