Default Being Active Again Some Questions

My current car is 2017 Grand Sport Z07 MT. Purchased it in Sep of 2020 traded in my 2018 Cadillac ATS-V. My previous Corvettes have been a 72 4 speed coupe, 73 4 speed coupe for my wife, 2000 C5 6 speed coupe, a 2004 Z06 (Z16 Option) and a 2015 Z51 7 speed coupe,

I have a few questions for my recent Corvette, One, can anyone recommend a Carbon Fiber vinyl that would match my top? Also are there any good vinyl film installers in the Philladelphia area?

I bought the car with Michlin A3S+ tires. These were on the car when I purchased it from the dealer with 7800 miles. I plan to run some track events and was wondering what to expect from these tires? My 2015 Corvette had the tires that come from the factory and when I tracked this car the Michlin's surprised as how much grip they had. They were almost comparable to my 2004 Z04 with 18" dia. front and back stock rim width with Bridgestone 200 Treadware. Can't remember the model name. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your help and time.

I am also curious about the Michelin AS3+ on track. A friend claimed they might suffer from chunking if used enthusiastically on track. Any credence to that?

Not that familiar with Michlin A3s+ tires. I am thinking of calling Michlin and see what insight they can give me. Will let you know what they say.

Those are not track tires. You will chew through them in a few hard laps. They wont give you performance also. I run two sets of tires. Fun time and cold time.

I don't have a solution for your tire issues. However, I can offer my experience with my '16 Z51.
I run AS3+ on the street and they are very good 3 season street tire here in central Jersey.. Disappointed that they have been discontinued. Would not consider them for track use.
For the track, I have a dedicated set of Toyo R888r. An OK tire on track, but nothing more than that IMO. Only marginally better than the standard OEM summer tires Not many options in stock Z51 sizes.
You should have better choices for the GS
Once I go through the Toyos I will be on the forum looking for a better option in the stock Z51 wheel sizes.

I've seen someone track the Continental all-season tire and it didn't last long at all. I wouldn't run them but worst case is you chunk one and go home early. The stock PSS isn't a bad tire for what it is and probably the best option on stock wheels. The GS tire options are pretty bad so I got a set of 18" wheels which opens up a world of tire options, not to mention much cheaper.

You can go an inch wider than stock on the front to fit a 315/30-18 and on the rear 335/30-18. All kinds of tire options like Rival-S, AR-1, NT01 plus you can run slicks. Personally I found the R888R to be pretty horrible but that's also an option. Forgestar and Apex make some affordable wheels (I own both) and the tire savings can pay for them quickly.
