New C7 owner and my ride has the multi mode exhaust package which gives me two sounds. I have been looking at the Borla S type exhaust and Im not sure what system is for me. Does my multi mode exhaust package have the NPP and AFM valves or not? Thanks for the help .
NPP is indeed the RPO for the dual-mode exhaust. A quick way to tell if you have it is to switch between Tour and Sport modes when sitting at idle. Sport mode will be noticeably louder. You can also look at the exhaust pipes. The NPP has flared tips.
AFM (Active Fuel Management) is unrelated to your exhaust, and yes, you have it. It's the system that switches between 8 and 4 cylinders, depending on load.

If NPP is listed on the RPO code under the carpet in the rear hatch on the passenger side by the battery, then yes, you have the performance exhaust on the car. You should see a valve assembly right before the mufflers on the car.
I personally think the factory NPP system sounds pretty good, but everyone has different tastes. Borla makes a very good exhaust system so you won't go wrong with that brand either.
Like mentioned, it is easy to tell if you have NPP.
As for the Borla question, are you just looking for a louder sound? If so, headers and a tune might be an option as well since they cost nearly the same as an axle back exhaust, and you will gain more than just sound with them.
I was looking for a unique sound but thats something to consider. Who wouldn't love more gains right? Ill ask my guys at the shop and do more research. Thanks Frid.
