Default Side led marker TPMS issue question

So I've ordered a set of LED side markers from eBay. They seem to have good reviews and a 12 month warranty. Then after some research here I see some owners have had TPMS interference with their lights. So my questions are, are these issues limited to certain C7 model years or certain LED brands? Or is it just random?

The supplier was SCP. They were very good at returns and worked with people that had trouble. The only sidelights that I haven't heard have the TPMS problem is the ones from Oracle. It was all model years affected.

We tried all kinds of things to correct it but no luck: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1601658958

All the cheap LED Side Markers probably come from the same factory in China. Try them out you might get lucky and have no issues. If you do return them and buy Oracles. They cost more but have no reported issues with the TPMS. Unless you don't mind the issue.

One little caution however, the Oracles do not fit flush with the body as do OEM and the less expensive versions. The fact the Oracles stick out a bit may or may not bother you.

Thanks guys. I did read the other threads about this so I will try the tape and ferrite filters when I install them. If I get the code I'll swap the lights out for the Oracles.

The only issue I don't like about them is they say this:
  • Disclaimer: ORACLE Lighting Offers These Parts Professionally Painted To Order. By Choosing To Paint These Products Yourself Parts Not Properly Painted With A UV Clearcoat Will Not Be Covered Under Warranty. The Clearcoat Protects The Acrylic Parts From Harmful UV Damage And Fills Any Pinholes Preventing Moisture Issues.
Guess I'll be ceramic coating them for protection. My car does stay in the garage under a cover so I'm not worried about the moisture issue. Elmer, are yours painted? How long have you had them?

Mine are painted TR in color and I've had them for 3 years (I'll check on that) and no issues so far.

Let us know how the install goes. I’ve been close to pulling the trigger on these but have hesitated after watching a couple videos where the rear marker doesn’t snap in correctly and folks have been using double sided tape to secure them. True, these videos aren’t from 2021 and I’m wondering if oracle has tweaked these at all to ensure a proper tight fit.

Thanks,

Les

I am running a set of the tinted LED side marker lights from JW Motorsports. The fit well, but I have experienced the TPS issue when the lights are on an the speed of the car exceeds a certain limit. Have not had the issue appear at normal city driving speeds. I put some of the ferrite blockers on the wires, but that has not prevented the passenger front sensor from throwing an error message.

I will certainly let you all know how this goes. I'll take very specific pictures of the install and b4/after pics. I'll also try to capture the fitment/bulging visually. Hopefully they arrive later this week.

Les , while i put the thin double face tape behing my Oracles just for kicks they fit ok , the fronts fit perfectly and the rears , if you get up really really close don't sit as flush as the factory lights but after a week you will never see it 😉

Blow these pictures up and you will see how they fit

They look really good! Hopefully mine will fit the same. From what I ca see here, had no one mentioned the fit it never would have crossed my mind. I just don't see it.

Any TPMS issues? I have a 2019 so I'm hoping I won't have any issues. seems the 19s are most vulnerable to the warning light issue

Had a set from JWM. Tripped the TPMS on right front. Returned for refund.

Bought a used set of Oracles. No issues in about 9 months. Don't really notice that they are not flush.

I've looked at the Oracles and they look really nice. I wonder why they offer them painted in every factory color except Arctic White? I'm not sure if I want to go with the light grey color they have or tinted for my Arctic White stingray. It's good to see that they don't have any issues though which reinforces my decision to go with the Oracle.

I’ve read that the artic white paint would start to yellow with age so they discontinued it.
