I was curious as to how many of you have rattles in your Corvette. My 2019 Z06 has been rattle free, but my 2016 Stingray has a rattle I have never been able to locate. I finally had to let go and not pay attention to it. The only other car I have right now besides those two is a 2017 Ford Escape and that has had absolutely no rattles in it even though it is a cheap $25,000 car. I don't know what it is, but rattles can drive me insane.
Man thats funny you posted that. I have a 2015 z51 and out of know where I have this creaking noise that's driving me crazy. Only does it of course on bumps. Wife and I are arguing where its coming from. I'm thinking has to be in the targa top somewhere.

Make sure your sun visor is clipped into place. And yes. The sounds seem to resonate where they actually may not be.
I had a slight creaking rattle noise. Had my wife join me on a ride. She pinpointed the passenger B pillar area. Loose clip fitting. Took it off and reinstalled and it solved it. Good luck and let us know what you find.
Thread Hijack Alert:
I can't help you with the rattle, all of our Corvettes have had 'em at various times but eventually we track them down.
The big question is, what are the differences between your two C7's that cause you to keep them both? Obviously, this would be a good time to sell one, but you haven't chosen to do that. So, each of them must have certain good and bad features that keep you using them both.
(If you've already posted the answer someplace, just give a link or thread title).
Thanks!

You're going to have to get a second set of ears on it to locate it. My convertible top has a slight 'tick" in it at times. The Chevrolet dealer hasn't quelled it yet. I've owned several Mercedes-Benz turbodiesel sedans over 32 years and 500,000 miles. None of em weren't tightly put together. I imagine that Hondas and Toyotas are still made tight too.

I just keep the Stingray around for a 3rd car and for friends and family when they visit. Needless to say they visit quite often!
The Stingray has over 130,000 miles on it and outside of regular maintenance the only thing that ever went wrong was had to replace the belt tensioner pulley at about 30K miles. Can't beat that. And with that many miles I couldn't get that much money for it anyway. And as you know there are a lot of cars like mine with less than 30K miles on them let alone 130K. I already have over 61K miles on the Z06 so I have another 2 years before I catch up the Stingray. I'm not saving it!
When it wears out or I can get a new C8 Z06 I'll be on my way again. If there are no C8 Z06's available to me in reasonable time I'll just get another C7 Z06, or a ZR1. I'll take the ZR1 C7 this time probably. Makes no difference if it is a manual or automatic. I'm a switch hitter and would enjoy either one.

no rattles, but I had a squeak on bumps, Drove me nuts. Torqued every bolt to specs (some were loose) didn't do it finally took the rear suspension apart and moved each piece to track it down It was a rubber bushing on the left & right upper control arms happy now
As a former car audio salesperson (many years ago) and installer I used to add to every car I owned but it meant popping out and replacing interior parts which increased the odds of
eventual rattles as I had in all five previous Vettes I've owned (not to mention other cars). When I bought my '14 due to age (retired teacher), fixed income and less of a desire to upgrade
I have left the interior untouched and I believe it has, at least added to the likelihood of fewer, if any rattles. Time will tell.....
and used 303 Aerospace Rubber Seal and Protectant.
After removing the top, cleaned all mating surfaces with Windex or rubbing alcohol then applied three coats of 303, allowing each coat to dry. Repeat about every three months and the rattles have disappeared.
The clear roof on my '18 had a few rattles until I got it adjusted correctly. It took a couple tries, thinking each time it was fixed, but wasn't. Now it's A-OK. Lately in some weather my seat-backs have been making noise, more a squeak than a rattle, like a striker was vibrating on occasion. It wasn't clear upon inspection what was causing the noise since there is so much "stuff" in the way. Hence, I did a dowsing with silicone lube everywhere that could eventually penetrate to the offending area/parts. After some time to "work in" all seems well, again.
Btw, you mention earlier Vettes, my C5 has a fairly recent upper dash rattle over some bumps I've not bothered with... yet. I think I have a solution, so maybe in nicer weather when I drive it more...
