Very subjective apparently. I have transparent top all year long in Georgia. Full summer and have not been troubled by the heat, and I do not like heat soooo.... YMMV... IMHO...
I leave the transparent top on the car year round, including 100+ degree summers in central Commiefornia and use a silver dot matrix vinyl shade. It keeps the interior temp about the same as with the CF top and allows a bit of sky to peek through... Easy to install and remove, and rolls up for storage behind the passenger seat...

"Transparent Tops are too HOT in the summer." Just an opinion... here's another: I live in Louisiana and never remove the clear top; I've got an a/c that works just fine, thanks.
