I have a 2014 C7 Stingray Z51-Manual:
Is it normal to feel a gear when shifting from 1st to 2nd.
I don't feel the gear at low RPM, but I do at a higher RPM?
Not sure exactly what you mean by feel a gear, but on the M7 when you shift from 1st to 2nd at any rpm you should "feel" it going into gear and that holds true for all gears at all RPM.
he probably means "feel" the dog teeth engaging, which of course is commonly mistaken as feeling the gear teeth engaging
yeah, 1st to 2nd is the most noticeable for that feel
People describe the 1-2 shift as 'notchy' - the shift lever doesn't tend to shift smoothly Ito 2nd - especially when cold. It gets better when warm and other gear changes are smooth.

Yes, you are exactly right, Thank you for your reply, I should have said teeth.
