I know there are a ton of tire questions on here so I thought what the heck, what's one more? I'm wanting to be spring ready for when it's time to take her out of her winter slumber. Here's the scoop. I live in Ohio. Car is obviously buttoned up for the winter. I plan on driving it a bunch in the spring/summer and fall but try to avoid rain, but if she get's wet, then so be it. With that being said - what are your thoughts on tires? I bought my 16' with OEM tires in March '21. They still have decent tread but seeing that they are coming up on 6 years old, probably best to replace them. Stick with OEM or no? Runflat? All season? There are quite a few choices out there and I'm reading a bunch of different opinions but could really use some narrowing down. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Going to track it?
Like to red light to red light?
Autocross?
Stock OEM is best.
Want to not worry about cold temperatures?
Want the longest mileage on the tires?
Just like to cruise around and enjoy the drive?
I'd suggest the A/S 4s that MIchelin has for sale.

I'm about to put the Michelin A/S 4 ZPs on my '16 A8 Stingray. The only concern I have is the 30k mile tread life. We take long road trips and I put about 12k miles on it last year. Replacing tires every 2 1/2 years is not something I look forward to.

The 30,000 mile tread life only applies if the tires can be rotated front to back. Otherwise, it is 15,000 miles. However, I got 24,000 miles out of the OEM tires.

The Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZPs had 7/32" tread when I bought the car and are down to 4/32" after 12k miles so your 24k sounds about right. It seems like A/S tires should last longer but the advertised rating doesn't show it.
Im getting pilot sport all season 4 zp Michelins come spring for my 16 . tread wear on these is 540 as opposed to summer tires that are 300 tread wear.
$1253.96 now michelin is coming out with a pilot sport 5 in March 22. nobody has any info on them yet.

Is the price you quoted just the tires or installed and out the door? I'm getting the same tires for $1,457.36 out the door from Discount Tire here in Texas.
Regarding the upcoming PS 5, there is no mention of an A/S version, although it will likely follow at a later date.
While browsing for tires I noted Michelin also offers a non ZP A/S tire with a 45k mile rating for a few hundred dollars less for a set. The price difference is understandable, but I wonder how the ZP tire wears differently than the plain Jane since they both have a 540 wear rating.
