I read that builds after February 2019 all received the new fluid and the problems have been solved. Love to hear from any forum members with a build after this date.
Yes for post 2/2019 builds, and Yes for most pre 2/2019 builds that have the correct Mobil1 blue label flush/fluid (I say most because some were far too gone for just the fluid to correct the issue)
I and three other friends had A8s with more than 90,000 miles on each with zero problems... all were '15 models.... none had the Range Device installed...
My 2019 ZR1 built date is March of 2019 which I bought new July of that year. At 500 miles I brought it to the dealer for its first mandatory oil and filter change .
At about 600 miles the A8 trans started acting up . Then 1st to 2nd shift at times was so hard I would look in my rear view mirror to see if someone hit
me in the rear and at times 2 to 3 transmission shift flare was so bad I would have to lift the throttle for it to complete the shift all this under normal driving. The dealer checked it and verified my complaint and even though it already had the new fluid they did the triple flush bulletin 18-NA-355 and told me to drive it for 700 miles .
Talking to the tech he stated that according to the GM field tech that their were reports of shift and valves solenoid's that were dirty in the valve body's. Remember
the A8 in the ZR1 does not have AFM so I drove it for an additional 1100 miles only for the problem to return. They told me it was still learning since the A8 is an adaptive transmission . I contacted another dealer and the service manager mailed me an extensive drive cycle to perform in which took me a day to complete.
So far so good at 4k miles , but not sure how long the good will last ! If you ask me the new fluid is just a band aid ! And lets not forget this is the 3rd type of
ATF that has come out for the A8.
For most forum members, the new fluid cured their A8 issues. However, there were at least two forum members I am aware of where the torque converter were too far gone and the new fluid did not fix the shudder, and of course they were out of warranty and so GM got off the hook and won't help them with the expensive TC replacement.
New to me 2016 Z51 A8, 32K. I had the triple flush done 2 months ago and it has resolved all previous problems. It's made the car much more enjoyable. I did install the Range device also at the time of the flush.
From testimonials here on forum? No, not completely. There's a thread that reported some sort of Class Action suit being won by the consumers. It's still murky on whether GM will take care of it.

Did you have the harsh “garage shift” into 1st before the triple flush?
2/20/22 Update: A TCM “Reset Adaptives” and transmission “Fast Learn” cured my harsh shift to D when cold.

I have a 2016 Stingray with over 130,000 miles on it and have never had an issue.
My 2019 Z06 has never had the shudder issue, but has had the differential, and torque tube replaced. I have over 60,000 miles on it.
Is the cold garage shift into 1st normal behavior or an indication a triple flush is needed?
The delay will not be fixed by the flush. This shift from Park delay is actually a normal action in most cases. There's a specified window that GM says is normal. I forget the actual numbers. Mine has done it most of its life (55,000 miles) and it hasn't been a problem for me.

I have a long history of issues and fixes on mine including 1 full trans replacement, 2 torque converters and a trans valve body. Once the tech did a reset (only) of the adaptive shifts and the harsh shift went away for almost 18 months. Been running a Range AFM Disabler since my first torque converter replacement. Considering having the adaptives reset and have the TCM relearn again.
Of course GM will say this is within "normal parameters."🤨 Anything to avoid coming up with a real solution.
2/21 Update: Ran through the transmission "Fast Learn" using a buddy's Autel MS906TS Diagnostic Scanner. Happy to say my harsh engagement to 1st is gone!
