Default I'm BAAACK!

Hey everyone! After a several year hiatus I am back into a Corvette. I was commuting over 60 miles daily and the Corvette wasnt ideal. I got into an F10 M5 comp pack for several years. Amazing car! Holy ****! However, new job, 3 miles a day driving = Pete back in a Vette!

We went with a 2018 Grand Sport I found in Florida from a private seller, SUPER cool guy too! The car has LT2 trim, alcantara wheel, shifter, seats, carbon flash, battery protection and some other options that really tie it together in my eyes.

Wow, the platform from C6 to C7 Grand Sport is pretty amazing! The handling is much better over all so far! I love that the car will allow me to drift a bit but is totally predictable and easy to get back in line!

Welp, here's a pic of her! Here's to many miles of smiles!

Plans include carbon flash quarter inlets, stage 2 winglets on the rear spoiler and a different front splitter at some point. I will likely give it headers, x-pipe, intake a tune with a goal of 500HP down the line. This car may be a keeper, and the seed of my collection, looking at C-3's and plan to buy a C8 Z06 once they have bene out for a couple of years.

Thanks all, glad to be back!

-Pete

Nice! I like white, although I have a Torch Red. White would definitely be my second choice.

Nice pick up! My C7 is my "toy" and I have a Tundra TRD Pro as my daily. I've often considered selling both and consolidating into just one vehicle and the M5 Comp is always in my top 3. Maybe even top 1. I've always wanted one. Would love to hear more about yours.

That said, I don't think any one car (within reason) can replace the two vehicles I have, and the C7 is just a blast to drive, especially when I'm not in it every day.

Amazing car, beautiful interior, HUGE power on the highway. High taxes, expensive repairs, BMW corporate SUCKS.

Get a warranty with it man!

Thanks. Pretty much what I expected. Not sure I have the patience to deal with a car that isn't super reliable and is expensive to fix, at least not in my daily driver. If it were a secondary fun car, possibly... but then again the C7 is the better vehicle for a second car in my opinion.

I had several BMWs over the years and would not touch one out of warranty with a 10 ft pole. If I ever get another toy, it will be a Porsche not a BMW.
