Hi, I noticed that the right camera looked very blurry. Took a look and apparently a rock took it out! How hard will it be to replace this and where can I find the parts?
Bumper has to come off. Then there's just a couple screws holding the camera to the grille.
As far as a replacement, try eBay, AES Corvette Parts, or Pacific Motors. You might need to buy a whole grille, but you'll probably get both cameras. Or just get a new one from GM.
The mounting on one of our front cameras (2017 Z51) broke last year, the camera stayed attached but was crooked. I was going to order a replacement camera but the parts guy at our dealer couldn't find it as a separate item- it looked like we would have to replace the entire grill with the two built-in cameras.
I my case, I fixed it with some of that super-strength 3M mounting tape. But are the cameras really available as separate parts?
Just took my nose off this weekend to swap in a new grille. Had to move the cameras from the old grill to the new as well. I was suprised at how easy it really was to remove the nose. Several good videos online. If memory serves me correct, 4 screws and two plastic retainers on top, 4 bolts and about 15 screws on the bottom. That's it. Also took me a hit minute to figure out how to disconnect the camera plug.
My only snag was the screws holding the camera bracket needed a 5 lobe torx security bit. All my torx security bits were the normal 6 lobe. Don't know how common this is, but they are hard to find. I found a Northern Tool about 45 minutes away that had them and also found on Amazon. A set on Amazon is only about $10, so might think about that before you start just in case.
How do I adjust the front camera? They appear out of alignment. Thank you
There is no adjustment to the mounts for those cameras. If something is out of whack, it most likely means the mount is broken or the camera itself is damaged.
Thank you for the quick reply. This is a new grill recently installed at the dealership. Since the cameras came pre-installed on the grill, the mounts shouldn't be the issue. The alignment isn't extreme, just enough out to be annoying. The original was perfect and that was my expectation for the replacement.
I would take it back to the dealer, since they installed it. May not have gotten the mounts seated properly. I did some research before replacing my grille to try and find out how to calibrate the cameras. Couldn't find any such data. When I got into it, I discovered there was no adjustment available in the mounts so no need for calibration. Good luck.

Yeah it kind of ruined my timing. Those are just what was needed, but no one seemed to have them in stock. A few auto parts stores had the "other" set of Titan tamper resistant Torx bits, but turned out to be the normal 6 lobe Torx. Not something easy to tell from some of the pictures. I'm just glad I found them the next morning at Northern Tool. I considered cutting up the mounts used with the original grille, but wasn't sure what all would need to be re-used for the new grille. When I got the bits and was able to disassemble the original mounts, I would have really messed things up had I cut away and would have been doing some custom fabricating!

Spicy has the right idea- let the dealer fix what they did wrong.
If they can't or won't; the 3M tape that I mentioned in post #8 for reattaching my camera, was carefully cut to size and slid behind the camera, leaving the anti-stick backing on, until I had the angles (in-out, up-down) correct. Then I removed the backing and slid the tape into place, checked the picture from inside the car, and pressed on the camera to seat everything. Sounds complicated but took only 5 minutes.
Best of luck.
I took it to the dealer today and they have offered to replace the grill. The cameras are pre installed on this grill and the one they have available. We’re deciding if it is worth taking the front apart again for a replacement that might or might not solve the problem.
On another thread Bill Dearborn states “To calibrate the module to the new camera you need a special camera calibration mat EL-51372 and a GM MDI scan tool to control the calibration process. The procedure in the FSM will work for the Corvette even though it doesn't have a surround camera option. The best price I found for the mat is at https://gmtoolsandequipment.com/en-U...earch=el-51372 for $366.00.
It would probably be a lower cost to take the car to the dealer and have them run the procedure. It isn't difficult but the tool cost is enough to make it a dealer service item Vs DIY. Most dealers will have the mat since it works with all of the vehicles they service and given all of the trucks and cars they sell there are probably a lot of cameras that are damaged or failed they replace.
Bill”.
I”ve asked Bill if calibrating will solve the issue.
