I love driving my C7, but weather up north the biggest deal breaker for myself.. salt is brutal here .. wreaks havoc on aluminum parts. I think at the end of the day "You pays yo' money.. and do with it what ya' like" Many different ways folks enjoy their Corvettes.. there is no wrong way..

THIS ^. Same for me in regards to weather. Not the cold so much as salt. Wisconsin roads have enough salt for the whole world to rim their margaritas.

Normally I am back in the saddle Mar.1st but due to global warming this winter has been brutal - trust me I am sitting with my hand on the phone to call the insurance company to reinstate coverage as soon as weather permits.

I try to make each ride a special event. I also enjoy keeping my vette pristine. Hence low miles.

I admit I've been thinking about finding a solid used Vette (C4-C5, probably) doesn't have to be pretty -- to wrap up the other 21,000!.

Joe, it has been a nasty winter (see below), Blizzaks or not the Corvette would get nowhere in a hurry in this...lol...having said that I did put all seasons on my C6 and it was a world of difference.

If I'm having a bad day, I jump in the vette and come back feeling a whole lot better. Fun to drive, admire, show, talk about, etc.

Only gets driven in nice weather. In the summer it’s almost a daily driver. In the winter it might come out once every two weeks if it’s sunny and dry. Can it handle the rain. Yes. Does it need to? No.

Here we have winter weather from around the first of December until the end of March timeframe. With the amount of salt they put on the roads, combined with snow and ice, the car generally sits in the garage for that period. For some of the other times of the year, my DD is more practical so that decreases the time for a cruise in the Vette even more. Add to that the fact I can't just take off with the car any time I want due to family obligations, even more time is lost. Finally, I choose not to drive the car in the rain if it can be helped.

So, I drive the car when I can, and I like to think of those times as being of very high quality.

Each owner gets pleasure from their Corvette in their own way, whether that is only putting very few miles on the car each year or driving the wheels off of it. No right or wrong answer here.

I find running errands in my C7 more enjoyable than most others, I guess. None of my vehicles (except my 2500HD CC) can reasonably seat more than 2 adults, so don't have to make the decisions other's do, as well.

Definitely to each their own!
I bought mine in September and have put 4k miles on it..

i disagree that you cant do alot of things in it or that it isn’t practical. It has a HUGE trunk for shopping/sports equipment etc, the only thing you literally can’t do is just have more then 1 passenger. I’ll be damned if i let a expensive car sit for the weekends.

Sure you can if the passengers are 2 smaller girls. One can sit on the other's lap.

Lot of people put a million miles on MBs.... not so many in Corvettes.

Sometimes, life just interferes! It was 79 here today and I had planned to take a drive.

I had some errands to run and I needed a trunk, I took the Stealth Car. Of course, everything took longer, and did not get done until 13:00, so, I decided to pass on the drive. In SoCal, it is not a lot of fun going for a drive after 13:00.

Corvettes were always my dream car When the new C8's came out, (a really awesome car but no longer a corvette more a lambo clone) it finally pushed me over the edge and I got the last great corvette (2019 GS A8 2LT). She's everything I hoped for as my daily driver. I love driving her and when I'm not behind the wheel tooling the streets of Brooklyn I'm hand washing and paste waxing her. Seems like every short jaunt to the store turns into a 10 mile cruise. Seems like I drive down to S. VA a lot now to visit my daughter and her family (160 + miles). since I got her. The point is, you own a corvette you drive a corvette ... everywhere.

That's a beautiful car, Congrats! I take it that's Watkins Glen gray. Got mine, a '17 Stingray in the same color just last month. One justification for my buying it is that it's a purpose-designed and built sports car. I think GM/Chevy did a really great job with the C7. In case you've not watched them, MotomanTV put out a couple YouTube videos where he interviewed the C7's main designer and engineer who in turn gave their behind-the-finished-product explanations.
