I have a 2016 C 7 that has been garage kept and only has 15,000 miles........ a couple of years ago I noticed some blistering/bubbles on the dash in front of the steering wheel.......the ramp to the On Screen display. Took it to the selling dealer and was told it was out of warranty and offered no MFG help. Has anyone else seen this defect.........?

If you have the 3LT package, there have been a number of reports on dash separation. Do a search in this section using the search criteria of “dash separation” and you will find a number of threads that discuss this issue.
Getting GM to assist with repairs after the warranty expires could be difficult, but worth a shot. If the dealer won’t help, either try another dealer for a second opinion or appeal to someone higher up the corporate structure.
The short version is that it happens on some 3LT cars.
It's not covered unless it's the original warranty.
Its about a $3000 repair unless you get a break and are able to get Chevy to help. Best I've seen is $1200 (which is what I paid).
Note: if it's just on the batwing piece, that can be replaced without tearing the dash out and is much less expensive.
My car is a 2016 Z51 3LT..........I get the Windshield needing to be removed.. Did they replace the whole dash cover? The only part thats blistered is 5 or 6" wide strip leading to the heads up display.

The windshield doesn't necessarily need to be removed. In fact GM dealers typically "replace" the 3LT dashes from the inside by removing basically everything forward of the seats. Upholstery shops typically remove the windshield and repair (reglue/staple) the dash, most likely because they don't have the expertise to remove most of the C7 interior and putting it back without issues. GM typically replaces the entire dash pad.

John, that's where mine started bubbling up then went to the area around my defroster and then separating/big bubble above the passenger side air bag. GM should help but it is going to be close as my is a 2017 and they covered 30%. They keep reducing the coverage based on its age. I would definitely ask and if you get a no I would try at least one more place. I have heard guys with 2018's couldn't get any coverage which is BS. Yes they replace the WHOLE piece. I hate I had to pay anything for an issue that affected so many cars but I love it now.
Thanks for the info.........the blisters are an inch or so in diameter and on the 4 or 5" wide strip heading to the heads up display........ wasn't able to up load a pic.....not sure why.

The Chevrolet dealer does the WHOLE dash replacement. Not just part of it.👍🍻
I get the whole dash getting replaced........just kills me that the car is garage kept and in the sun only its driven and still the dash shows damage.
The dash is just garbage leather parts so it gives up after a while. I dont for sure Im not an expert but the glue just doesnt well hold with the junk leather

The claims that sun and heat causes the 3LT dash delamination is a misconception as there's just too many garage kept and garage kept rarely driven 3LTs out there with dash issues.
GM crappola, pure and simple. There's a lot of threads here about it. Take it to a good upholsterer or two and get their takes on it. As you've discovered the dealer is worthless or worse. All the best.
(btw, the last thing I'd want would be some dealer flunkies messing with it, especially replacing the entire dash... and simply with more of the same. I'd live with the issue first, if my upholster couldn't come up with something presentable without tearing half the car apart)
addendum: for what it's worth, the irony is I've never seen nor heard this happening with the vinyl dash on the base-model

BS.....false.
My car's perfect.
Upholsterers will likely screw up the car further, and not stand behind the work. That's just stupid!
If you're having a problem with GM, why are you a member here ??
I'm on my third replacement. The one prior to the last one was the latest that was stapled down, First two came lose at the defroster vent, the one that was the final revision had a big bubble on the passenger side when hot, and would shrink when cold. It had the shortest period, just three weeks shy of a year.
Tech that replaced the dash said being out in the sun doesn't matter, he has seen garage queens be effected.
