Default Console lid latch

Anyone know how the console lid goes back together? I had to move mine and didn’t look before I took it apart

Three screws hold the lid to the hinge. What's the problem?

Okay, I just went out and looked at mine. There are NO obvious fasteners, suggesting the entire plastic surround piece is attached with clips and perhaps the hinge screws, as was mentioned. Or, there might be screws under the rubber-bumpers... NOT.

However, my lid fits tightly closed by spring action of the hinge, hence the latch is really unnecessary to keep it shut. Well, unless you roll the car, then that may not be your biggest issue. All the best.

thank you. Yes there are screws under the rubber pads. I was changing the cover and the new one does not come with the latch or the black panel under the cover

The latch is spring loaded and it's hard to figure out how the spring installs without actually looking at another latch.

kind of hard to explain. There are two springs and two parts. Would have to show you and I would have to take apart
