Just an FYI... The tabs are pretty easy to snap off. I've done this before and snapped a tab. The connectors can also be difficult to get out. This area is space constrained so be patient with it.
Hi all.
I tried to push the 2 tabs but the module does not move at all. Do you have to force the top of the module to push it down? anything else to do before the module slides down?

It does take some force to get it out. Just try to control the force to avoid collateral damage of the numerous wires and harnesses in the area. The limited space and odd position you have to assume doesn't help. I don't recall if there was one screw/bolt holding in place. It's been a while since I did this project. Patience is key...

The video doesn't show exactly how, it took me several hours trying to get that F-N thing out. There are no F-N red tabs as someone mentioned. I had to remove the hood latch to push some wires out of the way and using a mirror to see a little bit.
I used two putty knives, each placed on the red circled tabs and then slip under the unit. No need to insert each knife very far into and under the unit, just enough so that the knives will stay in place as you remove the unit. Push down from the top of the unit with one hand then slowly pull unit toward the passenger side. It will slide out as long as no wires/wire looms are in the way. Be sure you clear the way for the unit to come down and out. I've used this method a few times as I replaced my unit with an Infotainment IO6. Hopefully you are rather small and thin because the fit under the dash and steering wheel is a tight one. Good luck, Bart.
In fact, a large black cable on the left of the box interfered with the exit and I had to remove the pull tab from the hood (not sure if that was English...) and the ODB socket to push this cable and finally have the box.
thanks to all for the help. Eric

Glad to see you got through this one... It certainly is not as easy as one would think!
Yes, using 2 thin 1” wide putty knives definitely made removal easier. Just go slow and careful pulling it out so you don’t damage any wiring. Thanks black cart2 for the tip!
