Hey guys I just received my Z06 Stage 1 splitter from ACS and unfortunately I ordered the textured black one and when I got it I didn't open it till I got to the shop today and they installed it and realized its the wrong one I got. I needed to get the carbon flash black paint on it. Since its been installed on the car is there anyway just taking it to a body shop to just getting the splitter painted that color what should I do or what can I do its installed on the car now~ But the Z06 side skits and wing are all carbon flash black? Any advice? Should I just paint it a gloss black? or leave it? or sell it to someone?
Get in touch with them here.Explain what happened.Probably be your best fix money wise.I would match all trim.Is that spoiler able to add winglets or sides at different stages? You may want the sides later on?

Contact the vendor and explain what happened. See what they say about a return, even after being installed. If the splitter you got is textured, it could be a job getting it smooth and then painted carbon flash. Might be best to take it off the car, sell it and order the correct one.
I chose textured black so I wont have to worry about it getting sand blasted. Considering that you have the skirts in carbon flash already, id definitely have it painted to match. Wouldn't be hard to sell it as long as you don't mind waiting for the correct one to arrive.
I just installed that very same splitter on a customer's Stingray yesterday along with a Curb Alert parking sensor. Although it is a direct replacement for the factory one, it actually utilizes several pop rivets in addition to the factory screws. May make it a little more difficult for removal and reinstallation. If the shop didn't use the rivets however, it is very easy to remove and reinstall if you do end up having it painted. Wouldn't hurt to reach out to the guys at ACS. Joseph and Kevin there are great guys to work with. I'd go that route before having it painted as modifying it outside of the installation process will likely make it more difficult to work out a solution. Just a little insight that I hope helps!
2016 Z51 Coupe - I had mine painted Carbon Flash Black back in ‘16 by a reliable paint shop. They told me they would not stand behind the finish. Came out looking great and I have had numerous road trips with no issues on the paint. It is easy on/off.
It would depend how much they charge to paint and how much a new one already painted costs. Either way it's coming off. Painted looks better but these things take a beating where they are located.
I had my local body shop sand and paint mine Carbon Flash to match the sqirts and has been fine for 3 years. I didn’t want to spend crazy money on something I wasn’t sure that wasn’t going to clear some driveways and such.
