I'm having a hard time deciding between satin & gloss finish. I'm sure I want "Jake" in satin, but torn on the full length stripes. What's the consensus?
"Stripes are factory installed also and look great in certain colors!"
We grant it is in the eye of the beholder, but we agree with Dave on this. The stripes work very well with some colors.
Ours are vet stripes vinyl. We like the blade silver, but felt a splash of color was indicated. We wanted the red to match the leather work; and the black pinstripe to offset/compliment the red. Mike actually installed these himself not long before relocating. These have held up well and we think they enhance the look of the blade silver/red caliper car. Very happy with the look, but we think a set of machine face black Z51 wheels would complete it. Haven't (yet) changed the wheels because our little mate will not listen to reason.
Women...
We trudge on.

After looking closely at some of the stripes, I noticed some have the cut out for the emblem a little larger so that the color of the car shows, same for the rear script. I like that little detail instead of just sticking them on top of the stripe. I'm thinking of also having my "Jake" cut out to show the Sebring Orange.
I have been looking for a few years now and not sure if I want shark grey , or twilight blue ,all the inserts are shark grey , but the top and interior are Twilight blue. Or where to buy the stripes.
So, I have seen this go back and forth. My stripes were ordered with the car build. The RPO code (DTP - Blade Silver Full Length Dual Racing Stripe Package) is on the window sticker and the RPO ID plate on the car (see pic below). My emblems are definitely over the decal, so at least when my car was built (2016 built early 2016) this was how they did it. Anyone that has the factory stripes with the decal cut around the emblem, can you show your window sticker or RPO ID plate? It would be interesting to know if they were done both ways at Bowling Green.

Don: Really pretty white car. We think either the shark gray or twilight blue would look good, but we would be particularly intrigued with the blue to match the top/leatherwork.
My Choice vettestripes...Mike is very knowledgeable about corvette color...body color or convertible top color....I did see a 427 C6 white convertible with the awesome color scheme...blue top with silver OEM stripes...it was a stunner...so maybe a retro of the 427 c6 would be cool as well
Please stop with all this sexy striping. I just sold my Stingray (NRB, silver stripes) and I've been trying so hard not to relapse but these pictures are feeding my stripe addiction. I promised my (new to me) Z06 that I would take my time and think about it instead of immediately putting stripes on it. I'm running out of willpower here, people! Please don't post any more pictures of beautiful striped Vettes!
