I have a 2019 Stingray 3LT. Has 4,500 miles on it and is garage kept since I got last Aug. So far, no dash issues. I saw a video someone posted here (that I can't seem to find again) where this guy had taken the delaminated dash off his Vette and had a brand new one ready to go on. He described and showed how GM made the changes to them from the vendor with extra leather material at the edges, many more staples around the edges and different glue. When he held them up side by side it was a considerable difference in quality. He explained how GM does not make the dash, a separate vendor they contract out does and GM went to them with stricter guidlines/demands to correct the problem. When I look at my dash thru my windshield at just the right light and angle I can see the staples on the edges around the defrost vents. Looks like a lot of staples, much like the revised version of the dash. Does anyone know when these new dashes were used? Or have a pic of the staple pattern of the new dash? Or can link the video I described? Thanks
I did a number of searches and couldn't come up with anything other than the Facebook video. Sorry.
He does have a site though with a lot of good technical information.
I found it interesting that he specifically brought up the sun and heat in the southern areas of the US that has contributed to the problem, but so many here on CF have said that heat and sunshine aren't really the problem. Who knows? I have a 2014 3 LT that has not shown any of the delamination issues, I pray it stays that way.
I am looking at buying a 2014 Z51, Do all Z51 have the NPP exhaust systems and I don
t know if it has mag ride and dealership gave no anwsers. Here is the vin 1G1YL3D73E5110692. Can you guys help
Have the dealer check the RPO codes located under the rear carpet. If it lists FE4 the vehicle has magnetic ride. FE4 Suspension, Magnetic Selective Ride Control

It's easy to tell if C7s have NPP or not by the type of tips at the rear bumper. You can tell if C7 has MRC by whether the shock towers have electrical leads/wires going to them. So a couple photos of these areas from the dealer should give you your answers.

Anyone who has followed the 3LT dash issues knows or should know that heat/sun has little or nothing to do with the cause of the issues. This because many C7 garage queens that have had little or no exposure to sun/heat and many that reside in the northern colder states have had 3LT dash issues and many C7 3LTs that reside outside in FL, TX, AZ and HOT southern states have not had issues.
In addition, GM has stated that it's a material/adhesive/staple/install inconsistency issue. Even though GM supposedly addressed these issues starting with the 2019 model (ironically the last year of C7 production), you still find quite a few 2019s with reported 3LTdash issues.
