I will be getting both this Wed. For those of you that bought both at the same time I have a question.
Which one did you program first or does it matter ?
I am thinking of programing the throttle controller first then doing the start -stop throttle body programing second .

It does not matter which you install first, and you can install both at the same time.

I suggest installing the throttle body first and giving the car a chance to adjust to it. Then install the throttle controller. However, one can install both at the same time, set the controller to pass through the stock GM signals, and getting the same result.

Have fun!

Also, in the unlikely event of a problem with one of the components, installing one at a time will isolate the faulty part.
Be ready for giggles 'n' grins when you get 'em installed!

You have to program the throttle body and throttle controller? I’m confused for I was thinking of getting the throttle body but it needs to be programmed?

No, the throttle body need not be programed. The car merely needs an opportunity to adjust itself to the change from OEM. This is easily done by disconnecting the battery to clear the ECM, and then reconnecting and driving the car.

The throttle controller needs nothing but installation.

Ah, makes sense. I just placed my order for the TC and TB and will be excited to see how they perform. Thanks for the clarification!

Good luck with the install - you are going to love the improved response the car will show.

The TB comes with instructions for two different procedures - disconnect the battery or drive the car according to the instructions to let the TB "learn" to work on your vehicle.
When you get the TC installed, its "ludicrous" mode is well named and to avoid color coding your underwear, try it on an open road without a lot of traffic...

If you disconnect the battery do you lose your radio presets ?

No. Nothing is lost. You need only re-index the windows.

As others have said, there is no "programming" required for either part. There's also no need to disconnect the battery or to sequence the installs. The TC offers an OE mode which is, effectively, a pass-thru of stock signals. With that in mind, I installed both the TB and TC simultaneously. I left the TC in OE mode for (what I THINK was) a couple hundred miles, for the ECM to "learn" the TB, after which I started playing with the TC. Playing with the TC is nothing more than setting modes and levels.

As a side note, it is easier to pull the fuse for the ECM than disconnect the battery if you prefer.

No, but I did the learn by driving because it was easy to do, and I needed to run some errands.

My order shipped today for the TC & TB. Looking forward to seeing how this combo works for I know in my Camaro SS it made a noticeable difference in eliminating the dead spot in the throttle response.
