Pretty much to be expected as the C7 is a Great Sportscar, they aren't making anymore, vehicles in general are in great demand due to chip shortages and supply chain issues and you have to wait 12-14 months to get a new Corvette unless willing to pay $10k<$20k over MSRP.
Owning a C7 right now pretty much puts you in the Cat-Bird seat.
It seems a lot more people are wanting to buy a C7 over a C8 in the for sale section with a manual being the most sought after. So much for the auto being as desirable as the m7 like some have said. The manual Zo6 is the most sought after and prices are still at original msrp on most C7's.
This means only that the buyers are looking for a much less popular car. Only 20% or so C7s were ordered as manuals. If you want something less popular it can be harder to find one.
Whether similarly equipped manuals are selling for more or less than autos is an entirely different question.
I have not seen any numbers as to sales prices of variously equipped C7s. We do know all used cars, regardless of brand or type, are highly desirable and currently over-priced.

Again that would be expected since Bowling Green is building about 3600 new C8s per month for market consumption, where potential C7 purchasers only have previously owned C7s to draw from for purchase.

The C7 is still a very popular car and with the long wait time and sometimes crazy pricing for a C8, I can see why people want to purchase one. Plus some drivers want the availability of a front engine and manual transmission configuration. Nothing against a C8 as it is an incredible car, but it is nice to have options.

M7 could be popular because no one knows the long term
reliability of the A8.
GM may know what caused the problem but, is there any
internal Issues with long term use of the wrong fluid?
Remembering back at all the DEPRECIATION threads. You nuts buying New!
Gonna get me a Garage Queen and let that sucker pay when new
My question:Hows that working out for ya

Certainly could be, however there are many A8s on the road with well in access of 100,000 miles with no issues. Remember many GM cars and trucks have the A8 transmission, not just the C7.

i just picked up a 2017 gs/z07 car this past january with 1362 miles on it. previous owner left it for me to put the miles on which i have been doing. it now has 3330 miles on it and i love it. it's my first automatic corvette since i bought my first 68 convertible when i got out of the marine corps in 1971.
Im kinda glad the wait list was long for the C8. I like it and was on the list. However as I reflect, Ive come to realize my C7 M7 is too awesome to give up.
C7 Z06's are selling at higher prices than used C8 Stingrays online LOOK!
I've looked and from what I see most used C8s are being sold by 'flippers' in access of $100,000. Not finding C7 Z06s selling in access of $100,000. And even if they were as ELK stated, comparing C7 Z06s to C8 Stingrays isn't comparing apples to apples.
I did an informal used "For Sale" pricing comparison:
C7 Z06 - $75k > $98k, average seems to be around $83k.
C8 Stingray > $90k>$117,000K, average seems to be around $105,000.
