I just put a set of Conti Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus (and Forgeline GTD1-5 wheels) on my 19 Grand Sport yesterday. I chose them because I was looking for a quality, non run flat, all season performance tire that had good reviews on the C7. Although I have very limited time on them, my initial thoughts are they have a great deal less road noise than the OE Michelin's.

OP: tons of threads on C7 tire replacement and some are real recent. Suggest scouring CF. The answer will depend too on how you drive your car. Do you track it? Is it a daily drive? What are your predominant weather conditions? Do you want run-flats? Do you have a budget? I'm in the Deep South and do not track my 2019 GS. Last week I replaced the original MPSS ZPs (Michelin Pilot SuperSport run flats) with 15 k miles (at 3/32 tread wear so I was pushing it) and put on MPS A/S 4 ZPs (Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 run flats). Cost OTD was $2,040 including install, fees, tax. Alignment would have been extra (about $100) but not needed. They did put the car on their alignment equipment. I replaced the tires at a local Atlanta tire shop-- not a Discount Tire (that would be my second choice) or another national chain. So far, I'm digging the new tires. Ride is quieter, no chatter getting in/out of the driveway. I can drive the car now in rain and with temps under 40 deg F (not that I will!). A member in our Corvette club just replaced his OEM Michelin tires with Continental Extreme DWS06+ at Discount Tire. He loves the tire, the ride, and gives high marks for install and customer service from DT. The Conti's are non run flats. They were also less costly than the Michelins. Whatever you decide and wherever you go-- make sure the tire dealer/changer has experience changing-out tires/wheels on a Corvette. Have them check each wheel carefully for bending/cracking/warping if you have the original cast aluminum wheels. Have them also check the alignment if they have the equipment. Decide if you want a street alignment or track alignment. Ask them if they offer some sort of road hazard program/ certificate in case you get a puncture. My tire dealer did not so I went up the road to Discount Tire who did off me their program even though I didn't buy the tires from them. Cost was like $277 supposedly for the life of the tire (with some reasonable conditions IMO). Good luck.

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4, run flats. Why? Don't foresee tracking the car so the summer only sport tires are overkill; I drive year round, including cold weather and the summer tires really do suck in the cold; It doesn't rain much in west Texas, but when it does, it pours - the summer only tires are pretty sketchy under heavy rain conditions. And (somewhat reluctantly) run flats... People have reported these are much improved as far as noise and ride comfort, and if I do get a flat I won't be totally hosed. There is NO room to try and plug a tire on these things on the side of the road, and no real provision for a jack, tools, spare, compressor, etc. Run flats are simply the best compromise (for me)... And lastly, given I want an A/S tire AND run flat, the MPS A/S 4 is about the only choice!

DRC, sizes? Tires and rims? The rims look great on your car. Thanks

When I replaced my OEM tires, I went with Michelin A/S 3+ ZPs. I chose them based on Michelin quality, reviews of the tires on both major tire sites and right here on the forum, and price for the features the tires offered. I have no regrets. As I understand it, the A/S 4+ ZP tires are the newest ones.

Like many Continental tires, this tire is engineered to provide excellent traction and handling in a variety of weather conditions, including dry, wet, and light snow.

Michelin Super Sports, Summer Only I will not run non-run flats on my Z too much sidewall flex they become vague in hard cornering. do not inspire confidence.. non-run flats probably fine for daily driving on the street I am sure

I chose Michelin AS/4 ZP tires when I had the OEM tires replaced on my 2016 Stingray last year. I felt they gave me the best combination of everything I wanted in a tire. I have had them for about a year and like them.

This thread is 1 1/2 years old.

Regardless, I respectfully disagree with your statement regarding non-run-flats. I have Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires on my Z06 & couldn't be happier with them. I push my Z far very hard on the street, especially in corners. The Continentals can handle everything that I can throw at them, and some. They don't have the razor-sharp reflexes of the Super Sports; but they do have massive amounts of grip. They absolutely do inspire confidence, without beating the crap out of your car on rough roads.

For my cold weather setup I have the Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 run-flats. Generally an excellent tire; but they are a poor match for the Z's capabilities. They also ride much more harsh than the Continentals. I will likely sell the Michelins next month, with less than 3,000 miles on them.

I chose the non run flat Michelin Pilot Sport all season as well. I am very pleased with them.

Yeah old thread, but was in a tire chat mood I guess lol.. glad your happy, just no way I could run those on a track or hard cornering...I must be sensitive to tires.. GS I drove with Cont.'s I could tell cornering difference immediately.. I knew something wasn't right.. found out after probably we are looking for different things
