I've read a number of posts asking which rivet to use for front splitters. This is what I used for our Stage 1 splitter. It's all aluminum, 2" x 1/8"; here's a link to NAPA's info:
Those will work, but the split rivet like the OP references and like GM uses will hold better since the load is much more distributed. Can also buy the split rivets off of Amazon, with the GM part number, for <$20 for a box of 25.
Thanks 96GS! I checked out split rivets and learned about their superior gripping and holding strength, especially in softer materials. Gonna get me some. Thank goodness I haven’t installed my splitter and side skirts yet.
I admit, I am a newb when it comes to rivets, but I got an acs z06 front splitter and I don’t see anywhere what size the rivets are? I have a rivet tool with a few different size adapters but the supplied rivets seem to be too big for all the adapters… and I looked at the amazon listing of the GM rivets and I don’t see a size mentioned either, what am I missing, please help 🤣!

If only they included the info in the link I provided. Probably something like this..........
Ravis22, If you can't place the rivet shaft into the largest adapter, you might have to either get a bigger gun, or maybe larger adapter. I installed ACS side skirts, and used the supplied ACS rivets.. but I had to go to Harbor Freight and buy a bigger gun. Glad I did.... the new gun has longer handles, providing more leverage. The new gun was quite inexpensive at Harbor Freight, and worked just fine.

I installed my ACS side skirts last weekend. Used a rivet too. Sucked. I went to Harbor Frieght 1/3 way through and bought a pneumatic rivet gun for $69. Best thing ever. Made the job a breeze. Have to have a compressor though.
I tried the Rexka rivets once. The only issue I had was ~10% of the time the aluminum mandrel would break off before the rivet body was fully "split" and seated in place. The ones I linked use a steel mandrel and I've never had an issue with them.
For what is likely a one time deal, the cheaper Rexka ones are worth it since the front splitter only needs a handful of them making a few "do overs" are no big deal.
Appreciate everyone’s input… I was able to get the front splitter installed! Someone earlier included the size, but in case anyone else is wondering it’s 3/16!
The tool I had did have the right sized adapter I just missed it… doh! Overall, not too bad for first rivet experience, but would have been a lot easier on a lift!!
I installed the Z51 splitter on mine last week. I didn't see a need for rivets. Just used all the stock bolts. Could be it will start to sag later on and I will install rivets then if needed.
