Hi folks. I'm looking at c7's again. Been out of a Vette for 5 years and it's bugged me every one of those 5!! lol. Am I correct that the z51 manual 2 or 3 LT will have the PTM function or is that a separate package I need to look for. Lots of automatics out here which I don't want. because if I recall they don't have PTM available or the functional air ducts on the side ?? Appreciate any info. Thanks.
Performance Traction Management (PTM) uses Traction Control, the eLSD, and Stabiltrack to enhance traction while coming out of a corner. The Z51, Z06, GS, and ZR1 come with PTM. The base car doesn't have PTM. It doesn't matter which transmission is installed or what trim level (1, 2, or 3 LT/LZ) is installed.
I have a 2014 Z51 M7 2LT and it doesn't have the PTM modes because it doesn't have Magnetic Ride Control..(No magnetic shocks) I didn't want the cost of the expensive shocks when they wear out. I have the electronic limited slip diff though. (ELSD) I do have Launch Control and No Lift Shift. Just no select able PTM modes..

So it is available on 14's?Good to know. No lift shift??? What's that, no letting the clutch up?
All the extra electronic gobble-de-gook is just that must potential hassle with a used car and not needed on the street 99.99% of the time (okay, I just made up that number).

PTM is also mechanical. The mechanical portion is probably the least reliable part of the function.

True. The basic 2014 to 2019 Stingray with 455 hp and 460 ft lbs of torque isn't controllable at WOT on the public streets and highways anyway. Certainly not within State and local speed limitations.
