This one is odd, drove for about 90 mins today and during that time realised the a/c wasn't on, all the a/c displays are working tried adjusting the temp, the fan, nothing, no air coming through the vents
I called my son who was driving it last and he said that it had happened to him as well but he forgot to mention it, it was coming on and going off at will
True enough after an hour with the windows open i felt the a/c come back on, im guessing this is a loose connection, any thoughts?
Happened to me as it starts out cold AC and then quits blowing cold air. Was caused by a failed (stuck) thermostat for the coolent and the engine heating up that causes the AC to turn off. Check your coolent tempature and it will show very low because the coolent is not getting past the thermostat.. Check engine light will not come on but it should throw a code.
If you are saying that you had no fan at all , it's a common problem , look under the passenger side dash after removing the plastic panel held in by 3 push pins you will see a silver cover along with two wires , this is the fan power and the point of failure , unplug the fan. Clean both sides of the connector with contact cleaner then reassemble, been doing this once a year since I got my car
