We had a rather long winter here in Colorado. I snowed June 2. But since then, it has been Corvette driving weather. I've had my car nearly a year now with no problems to report. I just wanted to say what a great driving car it is. It is so precise in its steering and handling, tremendous acceleration, and comfortable cruising. I drive a lot of curvy mountain roads which makes driving the Corvette even more fun. I would have preferred the M7, but I had priority wants for the LT2, a light color, and light interior. The A8 is what I call a 1500 rpm transmission. It puts me in 5th gear climbing steep grades at 30 mph. The LT engine certainly has the torque to do it, but it is weird to me. However, when I'm in manual mode, my fuel mileage suffers. GM has always been good at gearing their cars for optimum fuel mileage. I drive it in manual mode quite a bit and enjoy the "interaction". And I think the car is very well styled.
Anyway, happy times with the Corvette. I enjoy reading these Forums that have taught me a lot about the C7.
GS CE Colorado owner here.
Have not had the chance yet to get in the mountains yet myself. But I am in total agreement with your assessment of the GS.
Yes snow season should be done however now have to watch the sky for hail
David,
Interesting post. I could have written it word for word just changing Colorado to Idaho. I've had my GS for six months and feel exactly the same about it. I also daily drive curvy mountain roads to and from work.
NIce looking car you have.
Thank you folks. Sure I wish my C7 was the M7 instead of the A8. But I'm getting by. It is my 19th sports car over the last 55 years. I got the bug way back in high school learning all about British sports cars and finally purchasing a Austin Healy 3000. That car was a truck compared to the C7. I enjoyed a Jaguar XKE for a while. It was very smooth and very good looking and unreliable. But the C7 is the best sports car I have ever owned. I'm at the age where things are becoming my "last one". Maybe the C7 is last sports car. I can't think of anything I'd rather own. I shopped Porsche but the prices were just too high, both purchase and maintenance.

I have 2 C7 cars, one auto and one manual. Thoroughly enjoy them both and can't say one is better than the other. Each has its advantages.
Beautiful Vette and Colorado is beautiful also. We were planning a trip back to Colorado and further west this year. Not sure now with the crazy gas prices. How are the gas prices in the mountains?
There is nothing like driving a Vette in the Colorado mountains.Enjoy!

That Austin Healy 3000 was my first one. My dad bought it for me for graduating from high school. I was a rather wild kid and didn't want to go to school. He made me a promise to get me one if I graduated. I graduated and was tamed down by then.
And if you wanted to drive it you had to become a mechanic to keep it going.
