have c7 convertible top will not work, been at dealership 27 days, say GM never had this problem before
I agree, as with for all the issues and complaining here, C7 convertible tops are rarely discussed. Evert time I drive a C2 convertible I praise the C7 tops.
Is your Chevy service dept competent on C7s? Do they work on a lot of C7s? The reason I ask is that Chevy dealer's ability to successfully work on C7s (especially on something such as a convertible top) varies greatly form dealer to dealer.
It's a good chance that you are just not at the right dealer.
I agree. My suggestion, go to a reputable local shop and ask them who the most competent, local mobile tech is. Thats who you want.
PM me your locale and I might be able to help. Very good friend gets paid to travel the US and Canada teaching mobile and factory techs. He knows good techs all over the country. In the mean time, get your Vette out of the local dealership. If they haven't figured it out by now, they ain't gonna.

^ I agree - if your local dealership has had the car for 27 days and has not been able to diagnose the problem, time to find another shop. Has your dealership tried contacting GM tech support at all and run the problem by the engineers?
What message (if any) are you getting on the Driver Information Center on the dash? Let's start with that, and the panel in the trunk that MUST make proper contact with its sensors for the top to operate. Simple stuff first. And oh, yes - I echo the sentiment expressed several times above: Get you car away from that incompetent dealer.
