Is this the type that

can be removed without damage to the car?

Yes mine was never installed and laying around somewhere in the original packaging. Easily removed. Florida only requires a rear platse.

Yes that is the aero plate that GM sends with all cars that are sent to front plate states. The plate can be removed without any damage as no drilling was required.

Great! No front plate is needed in AZ.

I thought this was the only style bracket that would cause rubbing problems? It was on the car when we bought it; I've since replaced it with the aero style.

If you do find some scuffs/scratches this stuff is good for polishing them out.

I think you are correct, we talked about these brackets before.

This is the bracket my dealer handed to me when I bought car. If it rubs, glad to know it's still sitting on a shelf in the garage.

On my Z06 that plate would overheat my car.. terrible design. If grill all scuffed, you could always go with the GS/Z06 grill

The Z06 was much more prone to overheating and needed all the air flow it could get. The regular Stingray had no such overheating issues.

If the license plate is banged up, then maybe there might be scuffing. If not, no reason why there should be any scuffing on the plastic grill.

I roll without the plate even though it's required. Screw them, I'll take the ticket. No front on my SS either.
Ironically, they never bother me about it. Go figure.

Front plate not required in AZ, I'll take this one off as soon as I get the car.

My man, me too. I have been running no plate either for the last 20 years and never got a ticket. But like you I'm ready, no points ticket and a couple of bucks.

Something Vette got right that others would do well to emulate.

The aero plate that you have mounts to the grill and should not cause any damage to the painted surface of the car. At least that is how I hope it works as I run it on my car.

Look inside the big holes. There are big plastic Philips head screws. Remove and just pull bracket straight out. Comes right off.
