Always dreamed of having a vett. So I pulled the trigger on used 2014 50k mi laguna blue z51 3lt convertible. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!! But, I'm kinda cheap and need 2 do upgrades in stages...so performance wise. As far as i know, this car is bone stock...what's the first, and cheapest, thing I should do???

Reason: Left out info
If you are going to modify the engine get a game plan on what your preformance goals are. Doing little things here and there with out a tune is kind of pointless
Oh ya, I've read the om and played obsessively with all the features. It's an auto, I can get 0 to 60 in 4 flat with the paddles and in auto the same. I had a charger skat pack prior to this. In a straight line they're kinda close...sorta. but I'd like to get over the stock hump.

Absolutely right. Then, follow the advice on driving the car for a while before deciding just what modifications you might want to make, whether they be performance or appearance. Lots of options to choose from.
what was the difference...better throttle response?
I went with a trade in throttle body, pedal commander, and controller. this all allows for more controll over air into the engine and multiple sensitivity options on the gas pedal. I always felt the programming on the gas pedal was a little numb and conservative. This setup allows you more adjustability to your driving preferences. In most cases, as is in most, a more sensitive throttle equates to a more lively drive.
It depends;
Based on 2014 Corvette Brochure & RPO Codes
Auto Z51 came with 2.73 (RPO GU2) and AT had a 4.02 1st gear which nets a 10.97 ratio off the line
Manual Z51 came with 3.42 (RPO GU6) and MT 1st gear 2.966 which nets a 10.14 ratio off the line
